 The Role 

The Chronus marketing team is a fast-paced group that is focused on changing the way organizations think about how they develop their people and drive new business in the process.

We are looking for a passionate, data-driven, detail-oriented and hands-on Marketing Operations Manager to help support our marketing organization as we build on the strong foundation that has led Chronus to win numerous awards and create meaningful mentoring connections for hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide.

This position reports to the Vice President Marketing and will ensure that the wider marketing team has the tools, data, reports, and processes they need to be successful. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate, collaborative team at a high-growth startup.

 Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary owner for the Chronus marketing infrastructure/tech stack, including resolving data issues and/or inconsistencies.
  • Acts as the expert on how different Chronus systems and tools are connected. This position determines what information the team needs and where/how to get it, including effective use of Marketo, SalesForce (SFDC), and other Marketing solutions such as our webinar software, data provider, paid search channels and content management system.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices for the marketing database, including data hygiene and regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining marketing related dashboards and reports.
  • Partners with the marketing team to understand the key metrics for performance for each role, determine optimal measures, and monitor those KPIs.
  • Coordinates with sales and marketing to create and execute operational plans for various types of campaigns.
  • Responsible for ensuring all the right stakeholders are consulted/included and then effectively routes information in/out of Marketo and SalesForce.
  • Creates processes, tools, etc. to ensure the smoothest user experience both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for tracking and optimizing PPC including Adwords.
  • Responsible for training the rest of the team on tools, reports, data availability, and regularly designing and leading training sessions for the marketing team.
  • Responsible for the effective management of the Chronus website, in coordination with the web developer to support web updates, analyze web metrics and optimize our site for user-friendliness and increased conversion rates.
  • Develops landing pages and other elements to support marketing campaigns.

 Qualifications and Skills

  • A four-year degree from an accredited university or college or relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience on a marketing/marketing automation team
  • 2-3 years of experience using Marketo
  • 1-2 years of experience using SalesForce
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM
  • Basic familiarity with paid search (Google Ads & Bing Ads)
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience reporting and analyzing data from marketing systems (Marketo, Salesforce)
  • Experience onboarding/integrating and offboarding marketing tech vendors
  • Experience working with contracted web developers and designers
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to pick up new technical skills quickly
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for the design and optimization of systems
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication
  • Rigorous attention to detail

 Bonus Points For

  • 1+ years of experience as primary admin in Marketo and WordPress
  • Marketo Certified Expert is a huge plus
  • Google Ads Certification is a huge plus
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, paid search, WordPress
