Our Email Marketing Manager serves as the internal expert on AORN’s email campaigns and marketing automation tool, Marketo. You’ll get to develop, implement, track, and optimize email marketing campaigns for both B2B and B2C segments and work cross functionally with stakeholders across AORN to coordinate and execute strategic email campaigns to drive revenue and increase customer retention.

You’ll be based out of our headquarters in Denver, CO and get to work remotely 2 days a week after onboarding and getting up to speed.

More about what you’ll get to do as our Email Marketing Manager:

  • Build and manage various email campaigns (lead generation, lifecycle, retention), including template design, call-to-action, content strategy and performance analysis
  • Oversee complex targeting and personalization strategies, utilizing informed data points to develop advanced segmentation decisions and content/messaging
  • Create and manage trigger-based email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize sales, increase sales leads, increase membership, and maintain current members
  • Manage the planning, technical aspects and day-to-day operations of key email marketing and marketing automation systems for user engagement and retention
  • Collaborate with marketing managers and key stakeholders to create strategic email plans, develop and manage integrated campaigns across events, email, and social, with targeted content, that drive agency marketing results
  • Analyze, identify, and pull segmented lists based on demographics and past behaviors such as previous email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.)
  • Lead A/B testing, performance optimization and campaign enhancement efforts
  • Establish success criteria (KPI’s and metrics) for each project. Manage email KPIs and report recommendations and sends summaries to key stakeholders
  • Proactively monitor and analyze key email metrics (open rates/click-through/deliverability/ conversions/etc.) to identify and implement opportunities for campaign optimization
  • Ensure that the entire functionality of the email service provider/marketing automation tool (Marketo) is fully utilized
  • Write content as needed.
  • Ensure all email communications are compliant with CAN-SPAM, GDRP, and any additional legal requirements
  • Provides backup support to the Web Designer/Content Manager with website updates and backup support on other digital services as needed

We’re looking for our next Email Marketing Manager to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • At least 2 years of related marketing experience
  • At least 2 years of recent experience using marketing automation software such as Marketo, Pardot, ActOn, Eloqua, Real Magnet or similar
  • Demonstrated strong technology skills
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and understanding of query logic statements
  • Strong copyrighting and editing skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative with the ability to devise new ways to carry out tasks, solve problems and meet challenges while bringing a fresh perspective to the organization
  • Basic to intermediate HTML skills, preferred
  • Experience with a web content management system (Sitefinity is a plus), preferred
  • Experience working in an association, non-profit or healthcare field, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industry email marketing, CAN-SPAM, and best practices; knowledge of GDPR, preferred
